We have been seeing bikers who have faced serious head injuries, all because they do not wear proper safety items such as helmets. It is usually because they feel that a helmet is a huge object that they have to carry with them everywhere they go. Why carry extra weight? Gadget-o has found a unique solution for all the bikers out there! Have a look at Overade Foldable Bike Helmet! It is designed by Patrick Jouffret of French design studio agency 360, in collaboration with Philippe Arrourat, an engineer.

This hand assembled helmet is portable and foldable in nature which allows you to carry it easily along with you anywhere you go. Wear it, ride, park the bike, take off your helmet, fold it and save it in your backpack or even in your purse! It only takes a very small space and its even lightweight.

If you think that this foldable helmet would be of no benefit in terms of safety then let me tell you, Overade observes to the same safety standards as other non-folding helmets! It is still a design and has already received design awards from Paris such as Grands Prix de l’Innovation 2010 and French industrial body APCI (Etoile de l’Observeur du Design 2012).
