Toyota revolutionized the automobile industry by introducing a gasoline-electric hybrid car, Prius. Now it’s getting ready to rock the bicycle world! Taking inspiration from the futuristic concept of Prius, Toyota teamed up with the premier manufacturers of bicycles, Parlee Cycles, to built an ultimate, one-of-a-kind bike, the Prius X Parlee aka PXP!

It integrates a mesh of advanced new technologies. Built out of light weight carbon-fiber frame with a custom design that works well with aerodynamics, this bicycle is both stylish and durable. Perhaps the most astounding feature of PXP is its electronic gear shifting system that can work through mind control mechanism! Let your mind take control!

With a little help from Deeplocal, the bike will come with a helmet that contains a neuro-transmitter device. It will respond to your brain waves and shift the gears according to your thinking. No buttons, no hands, just your head. Now this is what we call cycling into the future! Off course, some practicing would be required to get the bike’s sensory settings in line with your brainwave pattern.

Sadly, this Prius Project is just a prototype version and is not up for sale yet. Perhaps they are figuring out if a mind control system is safe enough or practical enough for now. What do you think?
